Christmas 2011

Our Christmas this year was so nice and so busy! Christmas Eve fell on a Saturday this year so we headed over to my parents house for our annual Woodford Family Christmas Party. Todd, Jon, Josh, and all their families were all in town. The only family missing was Angela! We had lunch, did our annual gift exchange and our talent show. My Mom's been asking me to play the violin for about 8 yrs now, so I started practicing back in October and I played Vivaldi's 4 Seasons. Here's a few shots of us all piled in the living room for the show!

The next day was Christmas! Here's what the kids saw when they walked down the stairs that morning.
Isaak woke up at 7:00 and we had to get Lila out of bed before we could go downstairs. Poor thing!

It was so awesome to watch their eyes bug out when they walked down the stairs!

Sweet Shaun got me an ereader, a new purse and some new gloves. Lucky me!

After presents we were off to Ric and Jo's for breakfast and more presents!

After Ric and Jo's we headed over to Brett's for Patsy and Jay's Christmas party, plus dinner! Wow, we got spoiled!

The day after Christmas Shaun took off work and we had a quiet day at home. Then on Tues the kids and I took off to Kim's house for a game day with the Woodfords! We got spoiled rotton, Merry Christmas!!!

Christmas Fun!

This last weekend we went to the Zoo to see the lights with my Mom and Dad. Here's some of my favorite pictures!

I LOVE that they have Santa there

Comet is there in the background

The trip to the Zoo isn't complete unless you get to play on the playground. :)

And here's our little Christmas project from last night. It looks beautiful!

Week of Isaak and Santa!

Isaak is the student of the week at preschool! Here is his poster that he gets to show the class. He's been so excited about it.... anytime someone comes to the house to visit he's had to show it to them.

This week we also got to meet Santa at Walmart!! Isaak was sure to tell him that he wants legos and cars. Lila was so happy just with her candy cane!

New Socks

Here's the socks I made for the kids! They're super comfy. I made some for Shaun with the same colors that Isaak's have and I think I'll do mine the same pattern as Lila's. Seriously, you can't beat woolen socks on a winter day!!

California trip Nov 2011!

We boarded a flight on Thursday night with Patsy and Jay and went on a family trip to California! It was the first time the kids have been on a plane, (that they can remember, at least) and they were really excited to see everything out the window.
After we landed we drove to Mickey's Hollow, a really cute condo that we rented right across the street from Disneyland. The next day it was raining cats and dogs so we put off going to Disneyland and settled for going to Downtown Disney instead! We had a great time looking in all the shops, stopping at the theater and watching "Puss in Boots" and eating lunch at the Rainforest Cafe.

Our favorite store by far was the LEGO store!!

Saturday was bright and sunny so we went to DISNEYLAND!!!

Here's Grandma and Isaak in front of the famous Mickey Mouse garden....

When we entered the park we realized that they were taping their Christmas Parade that day. There were lots of people lined up and down Main Street waiting for the parade to start so we took our shot at hardly any lines for rides!

Alice in Wonderland...

Teacups!

When the parade started we somehow got a front row seats and had a great view! We got about 10 minutes worth of great floats and entertainment before the parade was stalled and we got bored waiting and left for some more rides!

Donald!

Rupunzel and Flynn Rider (my fav!!)

Simba

Tiana and Prince Naveen

Louis

Tigger and Pooh!

I love this shot of Isaak and Grandpa!

Gimme 5!

A trip to Disneyland isn't complete if you haven't taken a ride on Dumbo!

The Carousel

C'mon Isaak, you can get it!

The jungle cruise was amazing. All the animals looked so life like. Definitely one of my favorites!

Uh oh, we're about to go in the Haunted Mansion!

And the part of the day that about made me cry..... Isaak and Lila looked so star struck when they got to meet Mickey!

After meeting Mickey, sweet Grandma and Grandpa took the kids back to the condo so Shaun and I could go on some adult rides!! Thanks again, guys!

Sunday was a great relaxing day. We started out by going out to breakfast, then taking a drive by the beach. After a long afternoon nap our little family went back to Downtown Disney and played for a few hours at the ESPN Center. We played lots of games and had dinner.

We were scheduled to fly back home on Monday night, so we took advantage of the sun and spent the day at Lego Land and the aquarium that is right next to it!

We went on a few rides....

And saw a lot of really cool legos!!!

The kids had a great time playing by this little fountain that played music when you jump on the circles....

Riding the train...

aaaahhhh!

I can only imagine how long it takes to put something like that together...
All Legos!

Wow! I've been gone as much as I've been home this last month. I love my vacations!
