projects

The kid's Trick or Treat bags are done!!!!! I started working on the cross stitch for Isaak's back in December and was worried that I wouldn't finish in time for Halloween this year. So much work! I finished his cross stitch last week, and sewed Lila's and the back side of Isaak's this last week. I stayed up till 1:00 last night and I'm finally finished!
Here's one side of Lila's.. yes, I know it looks a little lop sided, it's my camera, not the bag!

If I do a cross stitch for her, I'll attatch it to this side and won't need to make her a whole new one. :)

Here's the back of Isaak's

and the HARDEST cross stitch I've ever done! 70 colors. Usually the ones I do are around 30!

I also started putting new fabric on our outdoor furniture. Here's the couch finished. I did it all except the pillows, I just bought those.

I only have the two chairs left to do. The bottom cushion is what I've done so far, you can see how faded and worn the back is. Couple more days and I'm sure this project will be done, too. Not sure what I'll do with myself then!

Yuba 2011 and a Woodford dinner

This last weekend we went down to Yuba for our annual Hansen family campout. We had such a great time! North Beach was closed this year because the lake was so high, so we camped a short way from the lake and spent our days being lazy. The kids played on their monster truck and in the kiddie pools we had set up and the adults sat around (mostly eating!). We rented a jet ski one day and of course spent lots on time on the boat, too! It went by way too fast, as usual, and we're already looking forward to next year!

Here's Lila and Jaxon on the MONSTER TRUCK!

Shaun working on Brett's trailer, thanks again for letting us borrow it!

Yesterday we had a little get together at my parent's house. Pam and the kids are in town! Todd is still in Australia, but he'll be coming back in a couple months and meet up with Pam and the kids in Houston. The kids are starting school in a couple weeks, so they had to come back before him. It was so great to see them! I wish they could stay longer! Now 3 out of the 8 Woodford kids will be in Texas.

Funeral, Herber creeper, and SUMMER!

A couple weeks ago, Shaun's Grandpa Kenneth Simper passed away. Of course I forgot to bring the camera, but his services were really nice. He will be missed!

We've been busy the last couple weeks enjoying summer time. We've played in our little pool a lot and we visited the Heber Creeper last weekend with Grandma Patsy and Grandpa Jay. This weekend we're looking forward to Yuba lake!

Here's Isaak playing "dead". I love how he sticks out his tongue to make it more convincing. :)
