January 2022

A little RZR riding near our property to see if we could make it in! Nope, we can't it's too deep!
Grandma's and Grandpa's to warm up after
The first Sunday in January Isaak was ordained a Teacher, Shaun was part of the circle, such a sweet day.

Pretty Pretty Princess!

For my 40th birthday Shaun took me up to Bear River Lodge to spend the night.  It was beautiful, but difficult to get to!  We didn't realize that we'd need to travel along a road that isn't winter maintained for several miles to get there.  We were the only people staying when we arrived and the staff had already left.  In the morning we found out that they don't offer breakfast during the off months so we rented a Rzr with trax and went on a winter ride in the mountains.

It was such a beautiful ride, not another soul around....it was so quiet and peaceful

It had snowed all night and it just got worse as the morning went on.  I was worried about the drive home. Sure enough, on the road that isn't winter maintained our car got stuck in a snowbank.  Luckily, a cute old man cowboy just happened to be on that deserted road right by us with a big old rope in his truck.  He got us out in a jiff. As we got to Evanston and pulled onto I 15 I breathed a sigh of relief.  It was snowing lightly, but the roads were clear and it looked like it would be smooth sailing the rest of the was home. A couple miles in we hit a sheet of ice.  The back end of our car spun around so we faced oncoming traffic and as we got to the side of the road our car rolled 2 or 3 times.  I remember being so excited that I was still alive each time the car flipped right side up again.  Miraculously the only injuries we sustained were some cuts on my arm and some bruises.  My watch ripped off my arm and we found all of our things in the strangest places.  The sunroof completely shattered and there was snow all over in the car.  I found glass inside my coat and boots after we got back home.  It took about 20 min for the paramedics to arrive and then a tow truck got our car out.

Ric came and rescued us and drove us home.  I was completely drained in everyway.  Such an emotional day.  Special thanks to my mom for watching the kids the night we were away and after school until we got home. Extra big thanks to the Big Guy for watching over us. There were so many lucky coincidences that happened.  It really was a miracle that we walked away from that accident.

The only injuries sustained from the accident

Jr Jazz, Porter rocked it!
Josh and Sunny stayed with us over Christmas, it was so nice having them!
Since we weren't able to make it to dinner for my birthday, we went to Bonsai a few days later with some friends

I love Isaak's optimism that the garbage truck might take this!
Shaun's birthday!!! He always takes off and goes on a little trip for his birthday, but we squeezed in a little dinner at Olive Garden before he left!

Porter and Robert Kirby, he's our FAVORITE
Dessert night eclairs

I love all of Lila's paintings

Lila won the Dare Jeep contest and here's her photo shoot in front of City Hall with her design!
