July 2013

Phew, what a month!!  July has been absolutely crazy, but we've loved every minute of it!  We started the month off with a huge bang (literally, the fireworks were so loud!)  We had a HUGE 4th of July party at our house this year. Jona and his family were in town so we had a BBQ and had an awesome fireworks show.  Here's some of my favorite shots from the party..
Zach, Spencer, Jaqueline (Spencer's gfriend), Jordan and Jared

Goin for a crazy ride with Shaun!
The girls
All the girls!
All the boys!
Nick and Sarah came for the fireworks!
In the middle of July I had my green belt test for Hapkido.  I really love taking that class, it's such a great workout and it's about the only time during the week I really get to do something just for me.  I've had to miss a few times this month because of camping trips and things and I can tell that when I miss I'm more stressed out or grumpy, I've got to have my ME time!!  I love it!

In the middle of July we were in the Draper parade!  I'm so proud of all the work Shaun has done to build his company.  He's got a full time employee and a secretary and is doing great.  I'm so proud of you, hon!
getting ready for the parade, good thing she wanted to bring her umbrella cause it was HOT!!
Shaun and Jon
I just got a new calling in church.  I'm not the Cub Committee Chair which basically means I'm the head honcho for cub scouts.  It was learning by fire because the week after I was sustained we had cub camp, and August's pack meeting is the biggest of the year!  I'm stressed out to say the least, but I'm learning the ropes and it will get better.

Here's some pictures from Bear Lake.  I took the kids in the middle of July with Alisa's family and Mom and Dad.  Shaun couldn't come because he had to work, and it was the first time the kids ever had slept in a tent.  It was rainy and cold most of the time, our gear was wet.... but we loved it!  The kids thought it was the coolest thing ever.

A couple weekends ago Todd's family and Angela's family were both in town!  We had a huge party at Mom and Dad's house and we pretty much stayed there all day. Here's some of my favorite pics from the party!

Love the whole crazy Woodford crowd!!

Last weekend we went on a camping trip with my parents to Spirit Lake.  It is in North eastern Utah, but you have to drive up into Wyoming to get there.  It was absolutely beautiful and went by way to fast.  We spent our time playing games, playing catch and going on hikes.  I loved it!

I feel like my day to day life is going to change so much at the end of August.  Right now my life consists of playing with my kids and arranging all of the fun things that they do.  The neighbor kids in the circle all but live at our home! But in one short month Isaak will begin Kindergarten Monday through Fri and Lila will go to preschool for 2 hours 2 days a week.  The neighbor kids are older and will finally be in school all day long.  It will be so different, but I'm looking forward to being able to spend some quality girl time with Lila and have some alone time a couple days a week.  Maybe I'll go grocery shopping by myself.  That sounds so relaxing!  I'm so proud of both those cute kids, they are growing up so fast!

June 2013

June was full of camping trips to Kamas and Mount Plesant!  We got in a lot of riding and swimming.  Both kids are so good in the water.  They get on their life vest and can swim back and forth in the pool, even in the deep end.  I'm so proud of the progress they've made!  Lila's favorite thing to do is pick flowers!

Here's a deer we saw right by our camp site, his tail end!

Here's Isaak with Shaun's pellet gun.  Shaun taught him all about gun safety and how to hold it when you're not using it.  Then they had a great time shooting plastic cups.

Isaak got his tonsils and adenoids out this month!  He's always had swollen tonsils and food was getting caught in them.  It would take him forever to swallow his food and he always breathed so loud at night.  It was really tough the first few days, I had to force liquids into his mouth a few times with a syringe, but all in all he did really great and is all better!  It sounds like his breathing is a lot better.
We had our first girl's night in a long time at my house a couple weeks ago.  We had fun eating, playing five crowns, and gossiping.
Her hair is getting so long, I LOVE it!
Good times running in the sprinklers!
