February was great this year. To kick things off Shaun took me on a surprise overnight date to the Zermatt Resort in Midway. I thought we were going out for dinner and a movie, so we dropped the kids off at Patsy and Jay's, went to Olive Garden for dinner, and then I THOUGHT we were going to a movie when I realized that Shaun was driving the wrong way. He told we not to worry about it and we ended up at our hotel! It was so much fun and I love that he can sometimes completely surprise me!
February also means Isaak's birthday. I can't believe that he is six! Here's some shots from his birthday extravaganza.

Opening presents!
Here's some shots of the basement. It's really coming along! I'm actually a little behind in posting for February (It's April 4 today) and we're almost done! We just need some carpet and it's practically done. It's fun to look back and see how far we've come.
Valentine's day pancakes
Awww, someone has a secret admirerer
This is Shaun after he finished sanding the walls so they could be painted. Isn't he cute!!
Here's some random moments I captured.
Poor Isaak slipped on some ice while he, Shaun and Lila were messing around with shoes on an ice skating rink. 4 stitches. Poor guy, he was so brave!
Lila loves to pretend she's a cat. Her cat name is Henrietta (because my parents have a cat named Henry, but Lila's a girl cat) This is her saucer of milk.
Here's Isaak's birthday celebration at Ric and Jo's house. We also got to celebrate Chinese New Year! So fun.
Chocolate cake!
I feel bad I didn't catch any pictures of Isaak, but both kids took swimming in February. They both love swimming so much, we need to go more!
These pictures are so out of order because they are from my phone. Here's Isaak's birthday celebration/ sleepover with Patsy and Jay!
Movie theater!
Isaak seriously improved SO much playing Junior Jazz this year. I am SO PROUD of all the progress he made! Here he is with his team when he was awarded his trophy.
We went to the ice castles in midway on the very last possible day they were open. It was CRAZY busy, but SO worth it!
Isaak at the skate park, he's so good on his scooter! Just like a pro.
