May was a busy, exhausting, heart breaking month. My Mom and Dad were getting ready to move the beginning of June, school was ending, I was going over to my parents house several times a week to help de clutter and help any other way I could. Then my Dad went into the hospital the end of May with a bowel blockage. He was in there for 12 days and we were pretty sure that was the end. He lost his ability to walk and stand, he wasn't able to eat, the doctors said he wouldn't survive surgery and he only had about a 10% chance of passing the blockage himself. Miraculously, he did pass the blockage and then moved right into a Care Center. My Mom moved just a couple days after he left the hospital and it's now October and he's still there. Life definitely moves too fast.
Here's some pictures of Isaak's pinewood derby. This will be our last one!! Isaak is out of Cub Scouts in February, and the Church is leaving the scouts soon so Porter will be in a whole new program. Isaak was so excited, he won 2nd place!

I love Mother's Day. Shaun got up with the kids, made me breakfast, got me chocolates and tickets to Hale Theater. But my favorite thing is that is the Sunday of the year that he gets dressed up and comes to church with us.
Porter fell asleep on my one Sunday and I didn't have the heart to wake him. I love these moments!

This was the day that my Dad went into the hospital. Angela was in town, thank goodness, and we had plans to go out with all the sisters that night. We still went, and I'm so glad we had that time together. We needed it.

Ugh, I don't even like thinking about these 2 weeks. I spent as much time at the hospital as I could. We really didn't think that he'd make it. My favorite memory of that time is the night that I slept over in the hospital. When my Dad and I were alone, he gave me a Father's Blessing. He could hardly keep his hands up the whole time, but it was really special to me. I didn't get a lot of sleep that night, the nurses came in a lot and I had to help my Dad with a lot of things, but it was really nice to have that time with him.
