July 2018

Summer was busy.  It's always busy!  So busy that I decided Porter was too old for naps. He steadily got a little crazier and crazier as the Summer went by.  I chalked it up to Terrible Threes, but when Isaak and Lila went back to school in the fall, I tried putting him down for naps again and he's taken them ever since!  My happy, snuggly, boy is back!

All done and new couches!
Love, love, love

Yay!! And only after 2 tumbling classes!
So, on the 4th of July Porter fell off the couch and got a goose egg on his forehead. That night we had Jonathan and Jen and their kids over for 4th of July BBQ and fireworks.  After dinner all the kids were in the hot tub.  Porter leaned over the edge, fell out, and smacked his forehead on the pavement in the exact same spot!  I took him to the ER, we stayed until midnight, missed fireworks, but thank goodness he was alright.

Eating lunch with Dad in front of the Care Center

Going with my Mom for the last time to the Holaday home.

Turning the key for the very last time.
Shaun went to a business conference and I took each of the older kids on a date while he was gone.  Isaak and I went to go see Solo, then we went to Sodalicious!

My pretty flowers!
Victoria Poggio's baptism!
My date with Lila.  Classic skating, then slushies!

The slushies were so good that I had to take Porter a couple days later.
Meal prep fun with Kirsten!

Cub Camp with Isaak!  This is the last one I'll ever go to!  It's Isaak's last year, and by the time Porter is old enough, scouting will be over and the new program will have kicked in. I'll miss it!

Lila and Andie's (Cantwell) cute creation one day

Orthodontist party at Cowabunga Bay, Isaak won a slip and slide!

Sunday chips and cheese

Activity Days Day Camp
Lila and Avery

Lila and Brooklyn

We took my Dad to the splash park near our home one day.  He loved being out in the sunshine.

24th of July.  Shaun worked that day, so the kids and I went to Silver Lake.  It was crazy busy, but fun!

Fireworks that night!

Lila set up a Beauty Shop in the basement and did everyone's hair.

One day we took my Dad to a movie, that had fried chicken in front of the Care Center.  Lila decorated his wheelchair with flowers.

This was such a fun morning.  I wanted to do a sunrise paddle on the lake.  We were the only ones there for quite awhile.  So peaceful, except for Isaak and Lila's pretended drownings and screamings that I constantly had to shush.
