February had a bit of a crazy start! One morning I was driving Middle School carpool and I asked Porter to get dressed and clean his room while I was gone. As I was driving back from dropping the kids off, I got a panicked phone call from Lila saying that there was smoke coming from the basement and that the fire alarm was going off. I told her to go wake up Shaun and she goes"Oh, right!!"
She had completely forgotten that he was home. I drove like a crazy person back home and ran in to see Shaun coming up the stairs holding the remains of Porter's smoldering underpants. He said he didn't need his underwear and wondered if he could throw it up in the light. After a couple really great throws he wondered if he could get some socks up there, too. Then the fire alarm went off and Lila yelled at him to come outside. Crazy kid!

Isaak is officially a TEENAGER! Best teenager I know! He's helpful, fun, smart, amazing, and all around fantastic.

Snowy day trip up to the cabin! Shaun bought an Argo for us to travel in the snow up to the cabin in. It was fun, but got stuck a lot! Shaun decided to sell it right after this trip, but we had a great time sledding and enjoying the winter wonderland!But first, no trip to the cabin is complete without a trip to get pizza!
