Isaak did so great on his soccer team this year. The best moment of the season? When I bribed him to make a goal with McDonald's. He made that goal...... in the other team's net. That did not stop his enthusiasm at all. He did a victory race across the field and told everyone within hearing distance that he was getting McDonald's for lunch!

Barnum and Bailey Circus
Last Monday night we went to the circus. I was just as excited as the kids. They put on a really great show!
And here's my boys mowing the lawn together.

Lila's camping Birthday
This year for Lila's birthday we went camping in the Spruces with my Mom and Dad. It was great to get one more trip in before it's too cold. Here's a few of our favorite photos.
The kids found this little area in between these two trees and it quickly becamse their little house.
Here's the inside view.
Happy 3rd Birthday, Lila!!
My Dad's birthday is just a few days after , so here's his cake and traditional See's candy.
Gifts from Grandma and Grandpa
Isaak got a Ninjago Ninja from us so he wouldn't feel too left out.
A Rapulzel Polly Pocket!
And her very favorite toy in the world. Her little friend across the street, Arianna, has this same Belle and Lila loves her so much I had to get her one of her very own for her birthday.
We took the tram up the mountain at Solitude and went for a little hike before taking the ride down.
Happy Birthday Lila! We love you!

Calm before the storm
There hasn't been a whole lot to write about the last couple months. Shaun's been so busy with work and we've had a lemon of a truck (thankfully we got rid of that thing yesterday!) so we haven't been camping much this summer. Mostly we've been staying at home. I'll list a few things that HAVE happened this summer that are noteworthy.
1. I had my tonsils out on July 11. I can tell a night and day difference now. I don't have a sore throat every couple weeks!!
2. Jared and Brooke got married while we were in Yellowstone.
3. The day before Jared and Brooke got married Melissa had an emergency C section and gave birth to Tyler Rock Lewis. He was in the hospital until just last week (so for over a month) so Melissa was stuck here in Utah until yesterday when she was finally able to fly him home.
4. Alisa's divorce is finally close to being finalized.
5. Lila started dance class yesterday! She loved it.
6. Isaak starts preschool next week and soccer in a couple weeks.
7. Patsy and Jay will be moving in with us in a week and a half!! They are building a condo in American Fork and will stay with us until it is finished.
8. Isaak has a best friend, Cameron from preschool. We discovered that he lives just down the street and they've had a great time getting together over the summer.
9. Shaun and I were finally released from nursery. Now I'm in the cub scouts. It's a whole new experience, but now I'll know what to expect when Isaak turns 8!
10. Lastly, Shaun fired his secretary this morning because her work has been so sloppy. Now starts the long process of hiring and training someone new. :(
September is going to be a whirlwind of craziness with all the kids sports starting up and two of our favorite people moving in. We're looking forward to it!

Murdock Basin
This last weekend we took a much needed camping trip to Murdock Basin. We found the BEST camping spot, I'm sure we'll be visiting there again soon. Here's some of my favorite shots.
We were camping just 30 yards from this little stream.
Seriously, this spot had it all... privacy, atv road, sand pit, stream, and endless supply of rocks and sticks.... it was awesome.
Saturday night we drove up to Mirror Lake for their little fire presentation complete with Smokey the Bear.
Here's a little panoramic view of our camping spot, seriously we didn't have anyone even drive by us all weekend.
Yay! They finally lifted the fire ban!
