November 2013

November kicked off with Shaun taking both kids camping at the sand dunes on a boys only trip, so I went on a girl's trip with Kirsten to Vegas!  My trip was pretty laid back, we went swimming at the pool, slept in, and walked around the strip for a few hours.  Nice mommy break!
The kids and Shaun had a great time.  They went riding in the Rzr and got to play with their good friend, Jet!

Here we are on a family night making our annual apple turkeys!  Aren't they cute?!

I love the big legs on Isaak's!

Cute fall clothes!  Lila was not excited to go to school that day.

Isaak got a black eye this month!  He was playing kissing tag with the neighbor kids and ran right into the open tailgate of the truck.  Poor guy.  Speaking of kissing tag, a little girl named Stella in Isaak's class told him that she has a big crush on him.  Then she kissed him right on the cheek!

 Raking leaves one lazy day.

I put up the Christmas decorations the weekend before Thanksgiving.  Lila's favorite spot is laying underneath the Christmas tree.  Funny girl!
Here's Isaak at his school Thanksgiving feast.  The kid sitting next to him is Landon.  He has been in Isaak's preschool class for the last two years and now they're in the same kindergarten class.
Here's Lila at her Thanksgiving feast and program.  The boy sitting next to her is Grant Richardson.  He is Isaak's best friend, Cameron's little brother.  Lila and Grant aren't in the same class because she's a year older, but they joined classes for the program.  I wish I could post videos from her program, but the computer says they're too long. :(
On Thanksgiving day we went to Patsy's in the morning and to my family's in the afternoon.  It had been 4 yrs since I've been to my parent's on Thanksgiving!! This is my favorite photo of the day.  :)

On Thanksgiving day, our special elf from the North Pole, Candy Cane,  made his first appearance.  He brought us donuts for breakfast and we've spotted him all over the house  since then!  I'll be sure and post some pictures of him in Decembers post.
Here's some special Christmas pancakes we made the day after Thanksgiving.

Happy Holidays!!

October 2013

The month of October was lots of fun!  Isaak was off track for the last half of the month so we did lots of fun things everyday.  Here's some pictures of a Family night where we went with the Cantwells to the pumpkin patch.  Isaak had actually gone there earlier that same day on a field trip and I didn't find out it was the same place until we got there!

We finally got our Rzr fixed up and we went riding one weekend to 5 mile pass.  Fun times as always!

Here's Isaak's pumpkin that "he" carved.  Isn't it cute?  He loves it so much that he won't let me throw it away.  Right now it's the middle of November and it's still sitting on our front porch. (turned around so our neighbors can't see the ugly side, of course!)

Here's the kids on Halloween morning.  Lila got to wear her costume to preschool.  So cute!

And here they are that evening ready to go trick or treating.  I should have taken a picture of our dinner that night.  I made some killer pumpkin chili and we had bone shaped breadsticks with it.  So much fun!

Montana has been off track as well so she has pretty much lived with us lately.  My kids love her and it actually does help me when she runs all of our errands with us because she keeps my kids entertained.  Here they are ready to trick or treat!  Shaun had the fun idea to bring the rzr.  The kids ran from house to house and we drove along side them.  If there were a stretch of homes with no one home, they'd hitch a ride in the wagon.  Great times!

Here's Isaak and the Richardsons!  Cameron is his very best friend and Isaak wanted to be Ironman just like Cameron.  Then we've got his brothers, Grant and Christian.
One weekend I took the kids to the dinosaur museum with Sarah.  All the rest of the pictures are from my phone camera and I had the indoor setting on so they all have too much blue light!!  Here's me with all the kids!
We went to cornbelly's a couple times in October.  Seriously, it is one of my very favorite places!  So much stuff to do.  It's on my to do list every fall!

My kids were terrified inside this dragon.  It's dark and there's a maze you have to go through.  When you get to the middle, you can see the monsters heart and you eventually come out near his tail.   When we were done, Lila begged to go again even though she had been terrified the whole time we were in there.

Every year I've got to get a picture in front of our pretty Japanese Maple.  I love the fall colors!

Some selfies I took for my facebook pic, the other one was old!

Here's the kids on their favorite rock at the Cove.  It is the best park to go to and we're usually the only ones there.  The kids have a blast feeding the ducks.  If you look at the picture really close, you can see that they are watching some deer.
Here we are at Farm Country in Thanksgiving Point!

We went to a spook alley at the Rec Center on night.  They had lots of games and prizes for the kids, it was fun!

Right after the spook alley we went to the munchkin radio haunted house up the street from us.  It's just in someone's basement and it's just the right amount of scary for the kids.
Here we are at Cornbelly's again!  This time with Tana!

Happy Fall!
