See the bee?
I love that I caught it in action!
Love that it's finally warm enough for a fire. This picture is pretty accurate, the kids beg to have a fire, they grab some marshmallows and then they jump on the tramp while Shaun and I sit around the fire.
Cute finger sleep lines.
Here's the kids at Ric and Jo's the Sunday before Easter. They had a fun egg hunt!
They finally opened up the new aquarium! The kids and I went with Sarah and her kids. Fun times!
Lila walked across the rope bridge and gave me a big thumbs up when she was done! Brave girl!
I love Isaak's wave as she's walking Connor across.
Here's how the basement looked in April. We're getting countertops in a few days! Almost done!
The last half of April the kids and I went to Missouri. The drive was super windy, but the kids were really good. I did discover that Lila gets car sick. On the way out she barfed right outside Park City and then she got sick once again on the way home.
Fun times with cousins!
They have the BEST yard to have an Easter egg hunt! We hid them in the front yard just in the grass, you'd think it would be easy to find them all, but the kids had a great time randomly finding more over the next few days.
A trip to Missouri isn't complete if you don't visit Jamesport! It's an Amish community and I love their bakery and general store.
Here we are waiting for Melissa and Angela to finish their shopping.
You don't see trees that cool in Utah!
Angela recently bought about 15 sheep and half of them are having babies. They're so cute!
One of them tried to eat Lila's hair and she's demonstrating exactly what it looked like!
One of my favorite things to do is go for walks at Angela's house. They live on a dirt road and this cemetery is just a block down the road. Most of the graves are from the 1800's. Such a beautiful spot!
Beautiful! I don't think I'd ever get sick of the views from her house.
Eliza has gotten so big since last time we were here!
Crawdad. It was dead, I'd never seen one before! It was just outside the gate of the cemetery.
On the last Sunday there we visited Liberty Jail! My kids have been there so many times now, but they never remember it. Hopefully Isaak is old enough that he'll have memories of it.
Here's Angela and Eliza
Miriam made a yummy strawberry tart
Brady's parents came from Blanding the last few days I was there. Brady HAD to keep his mountain man hair until they got here so they could see it.
The great haircut
Poor Melissa. She was so excited to be there when a new lamb was born never got to see one. The day after she left to go back to Chicago this cute little girl was born. Isaak got to name her and chose "cute little baby lamb."
On the way back home I forgot to make a reservation at my regular motel. They were filled and we went to the one next door and got and upgrade! On the 2nd day of driving the wind had tipped over at least 8 semis during the night and it had snowed in Wyoming. When we got to Cheyennne I-80 was shut down because the wind was blowing the snow all over the road. As soon as I pulled off at the closure, Lila told me she didn't feel so good. I handed her a baggie and she barfed into it. I got on my phone and found out the road wouldn't open for several hours, Lila had barfed, I really had to pee....... aaahhh! I used my gps to find an alternate route and it was fantastic!!! ....... Until I got the the highest elevation (around where my alternate connects back to I-80. The snow was horrible. I got to a rest stop just off of I-80 that I've been to several times. (Lincoln statue monument, highest elevation on I-80.) We pulled off and talked to an old man that works for Udot. He told me that if I drive down the road about 1 mile the storm would clear and I'd be fine. That sounded WAY too good to be true. We rested at the rest stop for about 30 min and the storm just seemed to be getting worse. Finally I plucked up my courage and put the car in 4 wheel drive. It was eerie. There was NO ONE on the road because this is where the road closure reopened and no one else had come my way. About 1 mile down the road the snow disappeared and we just had to deal with the wind again for a couple hours. Should have taken me 8 hrs that day to get home and it took me 11 but it could have been worse!
This video makes me laugh. We had been at a furniture store and Lila loved this little vanity. She is such a diva!
