February 2015

February started off with Isaak's birthday!!  The weekend before we went to a cabin with Melissa and her family and Isaak and Shaun had a great time skiing!  Here's some shots of his special day.  If you look really close you can see Isaak asleep in his bed.
Here's his special Birthday Breakfast!
I took Isaak out of school early and we went to Farm Country at Thanksgiving Point.

Then we had dinner at Panda Express and opened his presents and had his cake!  Grandma Patsy and Grandpa Jay got to join us, it was a great time!

Happy big 7th birthday!!1
February isn't complete if you don't have strawberry fondue!
These cardboard cars were a gift from our neighbors across the street.  They made them for their kids and made a few extra to give to us.  Isaak loves to sit in them while he plays his beloved Disney Infinity!
Lila got to go to Farm Country again later this month and bring her good friend, Montana.

Riding weather started in February this year.  We went to Little Moab and had a great day!
And here's some random pics from the rest of the month.....

Isaak decided one day he wanted to read the "real scriptures", not the illustrated kid ones.  He read the whold first page of the Book of Mormon to me while I made dinner.  Super cute.
Isaak is off track right now!  It's such perfect timing because I'm having the baby in a few weeks and we're doing lots of fun stuff while he's home.  The one assignment he has while he's off track is to do a service project.  He chose to make bird feeders for the gully, and clean trash in the gully by our house.  Here's some pictures of his project!

Picking up trash

I had my doctor appointment yesterday and here's a really cool shot they got of the baby's face.  They estimate that he's already around 6 lb 9 oz.  He's laying a little bit down, but sideways in my belly.  His feet are right inside the right side of my ribs which is killing me, but I've only got 3 weeks left!  We've scheduled the hospital for March 19 at 7:30 in the morning.  Super excited!!!!!

January 2015

To start off the new year we went to Melissa and Levi's house for New Years Eve.  Here's the kids trying to stay awake until midnight.  Isaak made it, Lila fell asleep about 30 minutes too early!
On my birthday I got Isaak out of school early and took the kids to see Night at the Museum.  It was a fun little spur of the moment date!
Here's my birthday cake!  I love how Shaun made the 33 work.  :)
A week later it was Shaun's birthday!  Here's the cake I made for him.  It's a little prettier than the first time I tried making his Mom's famous caramel frosting.
Big 36!!
This is my best friends grave.  She decided to leave this life a little over 4 yrs ago now.  Isaak was so sweet and wanted to come with me to see it.  It felt good to visit with her and I know that she was there with me.  Her song came on the radio right when we drove in the cemetary and as I was walking toward her grave the chimes on the tree next to it tinkled.  It was nice to feel close to her.

Here's Isaak getting sung to at Grandma Jo's.  He looked so happy that everyone was singing Happy Birthday just for him, I thought he'd cry!  Super cute.
We got a season pass to Thanksgiving point!!  Here we are at the Dinosaur Museum with Melissa and kids.  Such a fun day.

Lila and Rusty
Here's the kids at the Museum of Natural Curiosity.  In the last 2 weeks I think we've been there about 3 times!  The kids are loving it.

Lila and Tana.  Tana is off track right now so we've been seeing her a lot during the days lately!
Last weekend we went up to a cabin with Melissa and Levi.  It was the weekend before our Anniversay and Isaak's birthday so it was a fun way to celebrate.  We went sledding, played lots of games, ate good food, and Isaak got to go skiing with Shaun for the first time!  He was FANTASTIC!  He keeps asking to go again.  Shaun says he caught on really fast and at one point Shaun couldn't even keep up with him on the hill. Way to go, dude!

On the last night at the cabin we had a little celebration for Isaak's birthday.  Cupcakes and a piniata are always fun!!
