Poor Frankenstein Rusty

Last Wed I took Rusty to the vet because he had a lump on his back that was bleeding.  We assumed it was a cyst because he's had those before.  Well, turned out to be cancer and within an hour of me getting there Rusty was admitted in for surgury.  The scar is HUGE and they had to take out a lot of tissue.  There's even two more layers of stitches below the skin!  He's been such a great sport and it hasn't slowed him down too much, even though we've tried to make him take it easy.  We're having the tumor biopsied and we'll know how serious it is in a few days.  Not sure how much for sickness I can take!  First my Daddy, now this! We love you, Rusty, hope you're feeling better!

My peonies are in bloom!  This is my favorite week of the year and then they're gone.

Here's my little garden, I've got peas, tomatoes, cherry tomatoes, spinach, lettuce, giant pumpkins, zucchinni, yellow squash, and butternut squash.

May 2012

I can't believe that May is already halfway over!  So many things have been happening.  We've been getting ready for Summer and building a patio in our backyard. (pictures soon!)  We went to Supercross the beginning of May, I went to Missouri with Spencer and Jared just this last week, we found out that my Dad has melenoma in his right eye, (the same one he lost most of his vision in) and he started radiation today.  We're hoping he only needs one treatment and that should take care of it.  Here's a few pictures of our recent adventures!

Here's the best buddies in our circle.  Ethan Whiteman, Isaak, Arianna Whiteman, Montana Cvikovitch, and Lila!  They all love riding their bikes in the circle together and are together almost every day.

Here's a couple photos of us at Supercross.  I love that our kids get to come with us for the practices.  But for the real race it's just me and my honey!

And here's some pictures of our Missouri trip.  We were only there for 5 days so we mostly hung around the house together.  We did take a trip to Jamesport, went to Kansas City for some all you can eat sea food, and had a fun camp fire with yummy kobobs.  Other than that we sat in the hammocks and enjoyed the awesome weather.

Easter Week!

Odds and Ends

Not too much has happened in the past month, so I just list a few interesting things.

1. Lila goes in the potty now! Not all the time, but we're working on it and she's doing a great job.
2. Shaun hired a secretary a little over a month ago now and she's learning quick and his stress load is coming down.
3. Isaak is sick again today for the 2nd time this week. First the stomach flu, now the croup..... poor little guy!
4. About a week ago I finished a 9 day full body cleanse/fast. Yes, I know I sound ridiculous and crazy, but I'm really interested in the benefits of fasting and I finished it feeling squeaky clean inside and rejuvenated. I didn't eat any food, I was only able to drink a special cleansing drink about every two hours. One of the hardest things I've ever done, but I plan on making it a yearly thing! I can tell that I've gotten rid of a lot of toxins and my body is more chemically balanced. Yes, I know..... Crazy Patrea. :)
5. Two days ago Jared got engaged! The 2nd of my nieces and nephews to get married.
6. Last week Joshua and Sunny announced that they're expecting. Only a few days off from Melissa!

10 Years!!

We just celebrated our 10 year anniversary! The kids stayed with Grandpa Ric and Grandma Jo while we stayed at Castle Creek Inn. That's the same place we stayed for our wedding night. It was such a relaxing night. We got cheesecake from the Cheesecake Factory, then we got pizza and goodies and watched a movie in our room. The next morning we got to eat the yummy breakfast they serve there before we went to pick up the kids. So much fun!!! I love you, Hon. Definitely 10 years well spent!
