Independence Day celebrations and a broken collar bone

Most Summer afternoons you can catch us hanging out in the front yard while the kids ride their MONSTER TRUCK! Tana has a Jeep, so if Abbie's joining us everyone gets to ride. Lila especially likes the pink Jeep!

And here's how cute the kids look when they're sleeping!

We celebrated on the 2nd of July this year. We split the cost with Sarah and Nick and bought a HUGE collection of fireworks from Costco. The only problem; HUGE party next door and we were flocked by about 30 kids. NO PARENTS! So it turned into a little bit of a babysitting job. Dispite all the kids, the fireworks were great, and company was great. We had a really fun night!

Shaun was our designated lighter of the fireworks.... Thanks, Honey!

I think this may have been the only time I saw Isaak that night. He was so excited to have so many kids around!

Had to include this picture, bedtime isn't complete without a story from Dad!

Ok, this next part is really hard for me to write about. I feel HORRIBLE about this. Yesterday I took a trip to the Library. Only errand I had to run yesterday. It was one catastrophe after the next. To start with, both kids were yelling in the library, then they just wanted to run around. I hurried and checked out my book and neither of them wanted to leave. I picked up Lila and started walking out in the hopes that Isaak would hurry after me. (love and logic, right?) He didn't. I came back to find that he had wet his pants, even though he had literally gone 15 min before! I hurried him to the bathroom and did what I could with him. Then we hurried out to the car. I quickly put Lila in her car seat, but Isaak was walking around the car where I couldn't see him. I was afraid he'd get hit by a car, so instead of buckling Lila in, I placed her in her seat and closed the door. I got Isaak buckled, then walked back to Lila's side. We have tinted windows, so I had no idea, she had stood UP in her car seat and was leaning against the door! When I opened it she tumbled out onto the concrete. ( this was the Durango, so pretty high!) I about died. I held her for 10 min in the car and she never stopped crying. Finally I put her (still crying) in her seat and hurried home. I dropped Isaak off with my sweet neighbor and took her to instacare. She finally stopped crying after half and hour but would start again anytime she had to move. Poor girl snapped her collar bone! I started sobbing when the doctor told me and I am now officially the World's Worst Mom! I love you Lila, and I'm SO, SO SORRY!!!!

Cmon Mom, no photos please! I don't have a shirt on!

We have to go back in to have X rays done in about two weeks and she gets to wear her cute Snoopy arm thing for about 4 weeks.

You are for sure not a bad mom! Just like Kir says we all have those things happen! Don't be hard on yourself, it's not like you did it on purpose, it was a accident!
