Salt Lake City Supercross

Shaun and I usually have to go to Las Vegas every year to see a Supercross race, but they finally brought it back to Salt Lake! We made a full day of it, we brought the trailer and got there about 11:00 in the morning. It rained on and off all day, so having the trailer nearby was great. We spent the first part of the afternoon watching the practices and walking around in the pit, then came back to the trailer for some lunch and R&R.

Isaak was SUCH a good sport all day long. He stayed with us all afternoon, then my sweet parents came and picked him up so he could spend the night with them.

When the race started in the evening, we had to have our ponchos on, but it soon cleared up and we had great (cold) weather the rest of the night! Great race, James Stewart won (yaay!) but my favorite rider, Kevin Windham came in about 15th. :(

We had such a great time. Shaun and I spent the night in the trailer and then picked Isaak up in the morning. Can't wait till next year, just hope it doesn't rain again!

Lila Rose Hansen

It's a girl! We're planning on naming her Lila Rose Hansen. EVERYONE told me it would be a girl and they were right! I'm very excited to start buying pink!! I'm not quite as far along as I had thought, the new due date is Sep 27. Even with our good news, today has been a little bit bittersweet. Shaun's sweet Grandma passed away this afternoon. We had always been planning on naming our baby Lila if it was a girl, and we just found out that Shaun's Grandmother's first name was Lela. We will miss her and are glad that our daughter can share names with such a great lady!

Happy Easter!

For Easter we got Isaak a bowling set, some plaid shorts, plastic bendy bunnies, creepy crawly bugs, and of course easter eggs with candy!

He would rattle each egg to make sure it had candy in it. :)

He's WALKING!!

Last night Isaak started walking! His record is about 6 steps. My baby's growing up too fast!

It's a zoo out there

After weeks of being sick with colds and the flu, Shaun and I decided that we needed a fun day out. It had been about 15 years since either of us had been to the zoo, so we invited a few couples and made a day of it! We had SUCH a good time. The weather was perfect and the company was great..... we're so lucky to have such fabulous friends. I love the shot below of the elephant eating the grass. Here's our fam with an elephant...... If you can believe it, this giraffe is only a teenager... they really are tall, aren't they?!

Here's Isaak with Lexi. They were really cute together. There were a few babies and kids in our party, I wish I would've taken more pictures!

Here's us on the train. It was short, but fun! We got the first row on the train, best seat in the house! I about had a heart attack when our train passed a buffalo (not in a cage!) I guess I always thought they were more dangerous than they are. Don't they ram things and run 30 mph?!

Thanks to everyone that came with us, we had such a great time!! Let's do it again next year. :)

What Isaak has been up to

This little elephant toy has five different shapes. Isaak can get all of them in there in 30 seconds flat!! Ok, I've got to tell him which hole to put each shape in, but I think it's still pretty impressive.

Isaak's favorite thing lately is to empty all the cupboards and drawers in the kitchen. I am CONSTANTLEY picking up after him! Here he is emptying all the linens from our drawer......

He still isn't walking on his own yet, but he ZOOMS across the room with this walker while he laughs insanely. It's so cute to watch. He can stand unsupported once in a while, but I haven't been able to catch him at it with the camera yet. He can also walk if he's holding on to my hand.

After I came home from the hospital when Isaak was born, my sweet Mom came over and deep cleaned my house to help me out. She completely organized this tupperware cupboard........ as you can see, Isaak has demolished all her hard work. I don't even bother fixing it, cause he'll just pull it all out again tomorrow.

Isaak LOVES anything that he can scoot along on the floor. It can be cars, lids, bowls...... he just does his elephant crawl and pushes them along! What a fun kid!

Big case of the sickies

We're all sick! Isaak got it first, then me, now Shaun's sicker than all of us. So not fun.... and don't you hate how you just don't have the TIME to be sick?! Totally just screws up your week. :) At least I'm on the tail end so that BOTH of us aren't able to take care of little guy. Hopefully it will pass soon. :)
