Kid rooms

Here's the kid rooms! It's looking like I'll have my C section next Monday the 14th and we just finished Lila's room last night so it will be all ready when she gets home. :)

And here's Isaak's room. The only change we made was the new dresser in place of his changing table, but I thought I'd post pictures of his room anyway.

Isaak really didn't want to take a nap today so I let him just sit for awhile in his crib....... and THIS is how he fell asleep! Funny kid was just too stubborn to lay down. :)

August 2009

Here's just a few of the things we've been up to this month... We all got hair cuts! Mine's just below my shoulders (I haven't had it THAT short since high school, but it grows back fast!) Isaak and Shaun both got a much needed hair cut, too.

We went up to the cabin one Friday night with the family and had a campfire and ate dinner. It rained part of the time it was up there, so we spent a lot of time inside just talking. I started our monthly girl's nights about 4 years ago and I LOVE that we're still doing them. Sometimes it's just the girls, sometimes the boys join us. In September we're doing my very favorite girl's night, Gardner Village. It's so much fun to walk around with the girls and see all the Halloween decorations while you munch on a caramel apple. :) Here's Shaun, Chris and Robbie at the cabin...

August has been a pretty eventful month! We went up to the cabin last weekend and spent a few days. Of course I forgot the camera, but we stayed up late and watched movies, had a campfire, went up to Solitude one day and rode the tram up the mountain, hiked, and relaxed. It was fabulous.

I've been busy working and getting everything ready for the new baby. I only have about 26 days left until she's due, but it's looking more and more like I'll have a scheduled C section on Sep 14. That means only 2 more weeks and 5 days!!!!!! It's coming up fast. I LOVE that I have a handy hubby. He's been working hard to make all my decorating dreams come true for the baby room. I'll be sure to post pictures when it's done, but it's already looking AWESOME!

Shaun's also been busy working. It's been the good kind of busy, though. He's been home before 8 pm every day the last few weeks, GOOD CHANGES!!

All in all, August has been busy, and we're super excited for an even busier month in September. I can't wait to meet my Lila!

Yuba!

This last weekend we went on our annual Yuba Hansen camp out! There's always about 30 of us and we go boating and hang out on the beach. I didn't get any pictures of us on the boat, but here's a few fun things we did...

24th of July and nursery!

Today was Isaak's first day of nursury! He did fabulous. He walked into the room, saw all the toys and didn't even notice that we weren't there. He had a great time and it was nice for me to be able to go to Sunday school and actually hear what they were saying! I got a little bit teary when I dropped him off, he's just growing up so fast, he's really not a baby anymore!

On the 24th of July we hung out with Jared and Leigh. First we went to Applebee's, then we hung out in the back yard while the boys played ladder ball, then we did fireworks out in the circle. I'm a little sad that July is almost over, it is definitely my favorite month of the year. :)

Summer time!

Here's just a few fun photos of what we've been up to this summer. Isaak is my little tazmanian devil... he'll rip everything out of one cupboard and move on to the next one. This time he just couldn't resist climbing into the drawer he was tearing apart. :)

This was a fun evening. I took off all of Isaak's clothes and gave him watermelon. He just wandered around the yard while he ate.

Me, Kirsten, and Rachelle took all the kids to the splash park. We had a great time sitting around and talking. Isaak hated the water (of course! I've GOT to get this kid used to the water!!) but he had fun wandering around us.

For the 4th of July we did fireworks in our circle along with Chris (my brother), Miyuki, and Robby. I LOVE living in a circle! All the other families did their fireworks at the same time, so we had three different shows. We had such a great time. Happy Birthday America!!!!!
