This last week I took the kids to Missouri. It was a very last minute trip. My nephew, Spencer was planning on going there to visit Angela for his Spring break and was going to fly out on my buddy passes. The flights looked horrible, so at the last minute I decided to go with him and brave a 1,075 mile road trip with two kids! I'm SO glad I did, we had such a great time! Melissa drove down from Chicago with Lincoln and we all got to stay for the week. AND we got to see brand new Tristin! He is such a sweet little baby, and we were able to have his baby blessing while we were there. We did so many fun things while we were there. We went to Jamesport one day and went in some Amish shops, went on several walks (when we felt like braving the mud, see above photo!!! Poor little boy with the bags wrapped around his legs because his CRAZY mommy, ME, is worried about him getting his pants dirty! ) One day we even killed one of the turkeys and had a thanksgiving dinner the next night! I can't say I was part of the butchering committee, I'm a little to squeemish and decided to take a nap. Spencer had a great time doing all that stuff. He thought it was the coolest spring break ever. :) We played games, watched movies, and had such a great time. It's fun to get all the kids together. Charlotta, Lincoln and Isaak are all the same age, within a month of eachother. Isaak loved all the animals. They have chickens, guinea hens, a cow, turkeys, and cats. The used to have a horse and pigs, maybe next time they'll have some again.... Driving was so much easier with Spencer around. He helped out so much with the kids on our road trip. Every time we stopped for gas I had to feed Lila, so he'd take Isaak on a walk to help him stretch his legs. He changed poopy diapers, and took turns driving with me. The drive out was fantastic, but the ride back we ran into blizzards, black ice, and at one point I woke up to find we were in Denver. I-80 splits off in Nebraska, which we missed and lost about 3 hours getting up to Cheyenne to get back on I-80. Poor Isaak was NOT happy about being in the car so long. Between our detour and having to go only about 35-40 mph during the bad weather, the return trip took about 22 hours. The outbound took only about 17. I COULD NOT have survived that without Spencer and I am so grateful he was with me!!! My pictures are mostly the things we did outside. I never thought to take pictures while we were just hanging out, so most of , ok, all of my pictures are of Isaak! Lila was strapped to me in the baby carrier the whole time were were outside, so no pictures of her! Here's a cemetary near their home we took a walk to...

Isaak and his Uncle Brady with the cow. Brady even put him ON the cow for a little bit, which Isaak thought was so cool.

Here's Miriam, Isaak, and the turkeys... Hmm one's missing, poor thing!
