Thanksgiving week

I kicked off the week of Thanksgiving by decorating the house! And of COURSE making sure the kid's Christmas outfits fit, ok, just dressing them up so I could see how CUTE they are!! So here's Lila in her Christmas dress, and some pictures of the house when I finished decorating...

For Thanksgiving day we went to Shaun's Mom's side of the family and then to my family. Shaun's side had a big family reunion with all the cousins. There were so many people that we had to have it in a church. Here's a picture of Shaun's Grandpa, Shaun, and Isaak. I can see the resemblance, they're all three so cute.
Here's one of Shaun's cousins. I'd never met her before, and she fell in love with Lila. She held her for about 75 % of the time we were there. She was such a sweetie.

Here's Isaak walking around with the football... his absolute favorite!

Grandpa and Shaun...

Then we went to my house. We ate dinner, played games, looked at pictures from my parent's trip to Austrailia, and watched movies.

Here's my cute Dad and Lila..

On Friday night we went to Patsy and Jay's house for dinner. Celeste, Chad, and their two sweet kids were in town. Here's the kids watching a show together.

Here's Shaun and Isaak giving Lila moral support while she has her tummy time.

And here's my cute family!! I love them so much! Aren't the kids Sunday Christmas outfits just too fun! It was so nice to have Shaun home for the Thanksgiving weekend. Too bad it's over and I have to move on to this week where my Maternity leave ends... Oh well, Happy Thanksgiving!!! Gobble, Gobble!

First encounter

This is a couple months late, but this video was taken the day after Lila was born. Isaak came to the hospital for the first time and he just thought she was the most precious thing. For the longest time whenever she would cry he would go "OOOHHHH!!! Baaabyyyy!!" I sure miss him doing that!

New moon boots and Big smiles!

Isaak got some new moon boots yesterday and kept them on the ENTIRE day. He loved them so much he just didn't want to part with them, even though you could tell they were challenging to walk in. Lila has started smiling and making fun noises. What cute kids, I just LOVE them soo much!!!

Roots

For our monthly family girl's night last night we tapped into our Danish heritage and made Christmas baskets for our Christmas trees. My Mom used to make these when she was a little girl. The tradition is that you fill them with candy or popcorn and give them out to people that stop by your house on Christmas day. I made one for each member of our little family. They were easy to make and it was so much fun to sit around giggling with all the girls. My Mom also made us some tasty soup for dinner. Here's Miyuki, my Mom and me cutting out the paper.
And Alisa, Kim, and Beth!

Here's my finished work, now I've just got to wait until Thanksgiving is over so I can put up my Christmas tree. :) You can't tell very well from these pictures but they do open up into a little pocket.

The rest of these pictures are random pictures I've taken the last couple weeks. They were just too cute not to include on my blog.

Lila's baby blessing

We had Lila's baby blessing yesterday. I think she looked so cute, the dress she is wearing is the same one that I was blessed in. I've been saving it forever and hoped that I'd have a little girl I could dress up in it! :) After sacrament meeting we had our family and friends over to our house for some dessert. I completely forgot to take pictures until there were only a few people left at our house, so here's the pictures I DID manage to get. :)
My sister Kim crocheted this blanket, she is soo talented!

I'm so blessed to have come from a great family and I love the family that I married into. Thanks to everyone for all that you do for us, we love you!

Things that go BOO!

Ok, this isn't the best picture.... but it's HARD to get pictures of the two kids together. Isaak's always trying to smother her, they just never sit still! This Halloween we took Isaak Trick or Treating in our circle and a few houses up the street. He was really interested in knocking on everyones door, then seemed surprized when they kept giving him candy. Our friends and neighbors, Jared and Leigh were having a fire in their front yard and were giving out s'mores. We hung out with them for a little while then came home and BBQ some hot dogs and handed out candy. Isaak got super excited every time the door bell rang. He loved seeing everyone that came to our door. Funny kid. :)

Here's my pirate all ready to go Trick or Treating ( and a GREAT shot of my bum. :)

I'm sad that my favorite holiday is over!! Happy Halloween!
